Twenty two masks carved from local pietra serena stone, some classical and some grotesque, decorate the facade of Villa Le Maschere, one of the most beautiful late Renaissance country homes in Tuscany. Pleasantly situated in the hills of the Mugello near the Bilancino Lake, Villa Le Maschere was the subject of a 5 year-long restoration and has been reborn as a 5-star resort.
